Do I need the event organizer's permission?

No. EngageTime runs on your session, from your account. Show a QR code on your slide and you are set. That is the point: it works whether or not the event has bought anything.

What happens to my contacts after the event?

They are yours. Export to CSV, or push them to your CRM through the API. There is no expiry and we do not market to your audience.

How is this different from Slido?

Slido is built for the event to run its room. EngageTime is built for you to get something lasting out of your talk: contacts, gated resources, and a follow-up page that belongs to you.

Do attendees need to download an app?

No. Attendees join from any device using a web browser—phones, laptops, tablets, all work instantly. There’s no clunky app install, which means more people will actually participate.
